Privacy policy
Version of October 11, 2026
Feu vert is operated by MCusson, in Quebec. This policy explains what personal information the service collects, why, who can see it and how long it’s kept, as Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) requires.
Person in charge
The person in charge of the protection of personal information is MCusson’s head. For any question or request: [email protected].
What we collect
Your account: name, email, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), language and digest preference.
Your company: name, NEQ, RBQ licence number and the language of emails to subcontractors, and the version of the terms of use accepted at sign-up, with its date and language.
What you enter about your subcontractors: their name, licence number and NEQ, a contact person’s details, their documents (attestations, insurance certificates) and your contracts with them (description, amount, dates).
The proof: every action taken in the service is dated and tied to the person who took it.
Payment is handled by Stripe: we neither see nor keep your card number.
What you write to us at [email protected], with your address, so we can answer.
Two cookies, both necessary: the session’s, to stay signed in and remember your language, and the one that protects forms against forgery (XSRF-TOKEN). No advertising tracking, no third-party analytics, nothing else kept in your browser.
The RBQ’s public registry
Feu vert copies the list of active licences that the Régie du bâtiment du Québec publishes as open data (CC-BY 4.0 licence). Public licence pages show no email, phone number or address, and those of licences held by an individual are kept out of search engines.
We also use the business addresses and phone numbers in this registry to introduce Feu vert to contractors, by mail or by phone. To stop being contacted, write to [email protected].
Why
To provide the service: check licences, track documents and deadlines, produce PDF records.
To send the emails the service provides for: alerts, digests, invitations, and document requests to subcontractors on the contractor’s behalf.
To bill the subscription.
Who can see it
The members of the client company’s team. Through their link, a subcontractor sees only what they’re asked for and what they sent themselves.
MCusson, only for support and maintenance of the service.
Our providers, for what they do for us: hosting, Cloudflare for the network and incoming email, Resend for sending emails, and Stripe for payments.
We don’t sell or rent any information.
Where and how long
Application data and documents are kept on a server in Canada.
Some providers process information outside Quebec. Cloudflare, an American company, carries the pages, the documents sent and the messages written to [email protected]. Resend, an American company, sends the service’s emails: it handles the recipient’s address and the message’s content. Stripe processes payment data. Messages written to [email protected] are read in a mailbox whose servers may be outside Quebec.
Information is kept as long as the company’s account exists. When the owner deletes the company, its accounts, subcontractors, documents, files and proof are deleted. Backup copies are overwritten as they rotate.
If you’re a subcontractor
The contractor who added you decides what they keep about you; Feu vert acts for them. To have information corrected or removed, ask them, or write to us and we’ll pass it on.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, and withdraw your consent. We answer within 30 days. You can also complain to Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
If a confidentiality incident happens, we record it and notify the people concerned and the Commission when the law requires it.
